Ammonites are extinct marine animals that lived 400-65 million years ago and they are found all over the world. They have a spiral shape which resembles a rams' horn. Furthermore, they are related to squid, octopuses, the cuttlefish and the chambered nautilus. Septa are the dividing walls separating the chambers. Sutures are the squiggly lines formed by the septa.
