This is a Mosasaur anceps tooth from Morocco. The Mosasaur (Meuse Lizard) was a marine dinosaur-like creature that lived during the Cretaceous, 90 million years ago and ranged in size from 11-56 ft. (3.5-17m). Physically, they had an elongated body, short webbed limbs, a broad tail and a double-hinged jaw (like a snake).
This massive fossil tooth measures 2.1 inches long (this is a straight measurement, straight line from tip to base, does not include the curvature) and 1.4 inches wide at the base. The body is in excellent condition as the enamel is approximately 99% intact. It has not been repaired, although there are fine cracks running through the enamel. The tip is very slightly weather-worn.
