Basilosaurus tooth (BS2)

This is an anterior (incisor) tooth of Basilosaurus isis, also known as 'King Lizard'. Basilosaurus was a Late Eocene prehistoric whale and a mammal. The tooth was found in Western Sahara, part of Morocco. 

The tooth is 3.3 inches long (straight measurement- from tip of crown to the tip of the root). The enamel and crown are intact, there are two repairs near the base of the root.
