Morocconites malladoides is the only designated species within this genus, so far. The defining feature of the trilobite is its long, upturned spine extending off the cephalon. Some call it the unicorn trilobite. The function on the spine is not known. It dates from the Lower to Middle Devonian and comes from Morocco.
The trilobite is 2.3 inches long (excluding the rostral spine) and 1.0 inches wide. The trilobite with the matrix is 4.2 inches by 2.7 inches by 1.4 inches. Schizochroal lenses are present in both eyes. The trilobite has a repair running across the base of the rostral spine and another through the pygidium extending into the thorax.
